Here's an affordable and easy 5 minute recipe to make oat milk from scratch at home!
3 cups water, filtered & chilled
1/2 cup organic rolled oats
1 date, pitted (add more for added sweetness)
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
Add all of the ingredients to a high speed blender.
Blend for no more than 20 seconds on medium/high speed.
Pour the blended oat milk through a nut milk bag (I use Ellie’s Best) and into a bowl.
Pour the strained oat milk into a mason jar or glass bottle and keep in the fridge for about 5-6 days.
You can freeze the oat milk pulp and add it into smoothies, or even just use it in a cookie recipe (theres plenty of cookie recipes online).
Enjoy your homemade, simple, quick and affordable oat milk!
